Saturday March 3rd was the annual Polar Plunge into Lake Decatur for Special Olympics. When I first arrived to the check in tent I noticed the large sign with all the team names on them and their schedule to “plunge”. There was a very long list.
As I go to get my position to photograph lakeside I was briskly reminded of the temperature that was about 33 degree or so, before the wind would whip across your face from the lake. During the shoot there was even a light snow that made it so much nicer. The official said the water temp was 45 degrees –
Here are a few of the photos I had shot this fine afternoon, more can be seen at my FB page – strohlphotography and also at my site – www.strohlphotography.com
